Day: 13 April 2026

  • RNLI Kayak Challenge

    PRACTICE WALK COMPLETE.

ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR OUR 4-HOUR KAYAK CARRY FOR THE RNLI.

    SUNDAY MAY 3RD.

Carrying a kayak from Penarth RNLI Station to the RNLI Visitor Centre in Barry is going to be a big challenge. So, it is imperative that everything is planned, all potential problems ironed out, and any gremlins kicked out.

A JOINT EFFORT BETWEEN CARDIFF BSAC AND CARDIFF BAY KAYAKING.

Our volunteers gathered at Cosmeston to road test our kayak carrying techniques in readiness for the big, sponsored challenge, and the good news is that everything went smoothly.

We are all set for the big day!

CHEER US OVER THE FINISHING LINE!

    • We’ll be arriving at Barry Island about 2pm

    • Performances by Pukka Productions‘ Theatre School and the Pitch Perfect wellbeing choir

    • Plus, stalls, family fun and a nearby music festival for your family to enjoy!
